faux fur

Furry polo neck- H&M
Trousers- Zara
Coat & Leather Chealsea boots- Inherited from my Grandma!
Satchel- Vintage
Leather watch- a leather goods shop in Camden, cant remember the name..
Ring- Spoonery Jewellery in Leicester (a company that makes rings from silver spoons!!!)

If you have read any of my previous posts you can probably tell by now that black rules my wardrobe. After walking around the shops and with 3 new additions to my black collection in hand, I came across these trousers and purchased them in a bid to inject more colour into my wardrobe.
I have paired them with my favourite ever polo neck that was purchased last year. It was quite spenny, at around £40 but it was definitely worth it!
I am very lucky to have had such a gorgeous and stylish Grandma. She owned some lovely clothes including this coat and these Chelsea boots. I inherited a few pieces of hers that I'm sure you will see in future posts.
I have been so busy this week with coursework, I gave myself I well earned break on Saturday and attended a lovely cocktail evening with my friends. I feel like I should be regretting it now because I still have loads to do but sometimes a girl's just got to have a bit of fun!

Leather dungarees

Cardigan - Urban Outfitters (Urban Renewal)
Polo neck- Mango
Leather dungarees- Topshop
Clutch- Tommy Hilfiger
Ring- Camden market
Shoes- No idea, they were my Grandmama's!
Tights- Topshop
Socks- Primark

My Cannon finally arrived this week (waheey!) so we decided to take a few snaps today of my outfit. I LOVE these leather dungarees, in fact I love dungarees/pinafores all together. I just think they are really versatile as there so many different styles of top that you can wear underneath! I may do a 'how I style' dungarees post later on in the week. I've recently started experimenting with wearing patterned tights underneath trousers that aren't full length, I think it really can add to an outfit and gives you a bit extra warmth.
I definitely need all the warmth I can get. I love polo necks n all but I've had enough of winter now!

Night out in Brum

Birthday girls Ella and Hannah
my gals
we're embarrassing

 Bralet- Topshop
Tartan trousers- Zara
Leather Heels- H&M
Bag- H&M
Nail Varnish- Barry M, matte black

As my three bestest friends birthdays fall with in the first two weeks of January we went out in Birmingham to celebrate on Saturday. I'm annoyed that I forgot to take a pictures of everyone's outfit's because they all looked gorge!
My studded bralet was purchased from Topshop, at least 2 years ago. I love it but don't wear it that often, I usually feel more comfortable in tops with a higher neck (due to being a fully fledged member of the itty bitty titty committee).
I am in love with these Zara trousers, I bought a couple of weeks ago in the sale. I recently saw the skirt version on Olivia Emily's blog, I wish I had seen it in store, I would have bought both!
I made the rare decision to wear heels out, I think these were around £20 from H&M last year, they are gorgeous but soooooo uncomfortable! The bag is also from H&M and was around £8, it's the only bag I use for going out as it goes with almost everything.

Well, on with more distractions from my coursework! Hope you've had a good weekend!

Black velvet

Leather jacket- Vintage (Crown Gate Leathers U.K)
Check shirt- F&F
Velvet polo crop top- Urban Outfitters, Sparkle and Fade
Velvet high waist trousers- Marks and Sparks
Check tights- Topshop
Loafers- Topshop
Backpack- Ebay

My dad has had this leather jacket since he was young and I just couldn't keep seeing it hanging on the rail looking so lonely! I have worn it so much over the past few weeks (I don't think he's even noticed) it seems to make outfits look effortlessly cool, I love it! As it is still quite chilly I have worn a check shirt underneath, it also breaks up the outfit a little. These velvet trousers are definitely my favourite/most worn item, I've had them for years. I love look of theses check tights worn underneath them. The Loafers were recently purchased in the Topshop Christmas sale for £18, what a steal!

Flippin'ell it's 3 am and I have to drive to college in 5 hours :( help! I hope you have settled back in to the work routine a bit better than I have!

Birthday drinks

Top- Zara
Mom Jeans- Urban Outfitters
Trainers- Converse

Yesterday was my friends birthday so we went for a few drinks to celebrate. I live in a rural area and we usually socialise in our local towns' pubs and clubs (if you're wondering why I'm a bit dressed down).
I found the long sleeved crop top in the Zara Christmas sale, you probably can't tell by the image but it's actually knitted! I'm not usually a fan of see through tops but because it is teamed with baggy jeans, rather than a short skirt, it looks less revealing.
The jeans were also a recent purchase. I was originally looking for a pair of Levi 'Mom jeans' but I haven't found any that fit me properly. These Jeans are by BDG, I love them! I think £50 (with student discount) is a reasonable price compared to the American Apparel version I tried on that looked exactly the same but cost £75
This outfit is quite simple but I think wearing Converse and accessorising with a hair scrunchie and matching lippy funks it up a little more.

The Start

It's 2am and I am currently cuddled up on the settee with mum, the dog and our good mate champers. I have just come to the realisation that I will be going back to College in 3 days and I haven't achieved any of the many things I set out to do in this 2 week holiday (as per ushe). So I thought why don't I start, right now, with number one on my list, creating this blog! I am not normally one for New Year resolutions but (with 14 being my lucky number and all!) I have decided that this year I am going to do all things I have been putting off for years, it's now or never! No more excuses! So here I am!
I have absolutely no idea how to start off this blog, I suppose the best way would have been to introduce myself ..
My name is Janna (pronounced jah-na, it looks like I'm stating the obvious but it gets mispronounced all the time!) I am 18 and currently studying Fashion and Footwear, I'm particularly interested in styling. I love seeing how other people put items of clothing together and incorporate new trends into their own personal style. I think blogs and YouTube are such a great way of finding inspiration and hope that some of you may be interested in some of items I love.

Well I guess this is it... my first post! I've done it, finally! Hoorah!

Happy New Year!
